George Robertson, Sr. was born on May 4, 1915 in Meriwether County to the late Mary Hussy Robertson. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church where he actively served as the oldest living deacon. One of his greatest achievements was serving as the first African-American Bailiff at the Greenville Courthouse. George, Sr. most enjoyed going to church and watching Braves baseball.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Ms. Christine Alexander. On October 17, 2007, he left to cherish is loving memories, a devoted wife, Ethel Robertson, his son, George Robertson, Jr., thirteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Sallie Lou Cook October 21, 1933 - September 26, 2007
Sallie was born to the late John D Cooks and the late Margie Beatrice Key Cooks in Edgefield County, South Carolina. She was educated in the Edgefield County school system until she moved to Newark, New Jersey. Sallie met her beloved husband Obadiah Cook in 1950. When he returned from Korea after serving in the US Army, they married on November 22, 1954. To this union five children were born, Michelle, Walter, Roy, Margie, and Robert, who preceded her in death in 1992.
More than just a homemaker, she was an excellent and caring wife, a wonderful mother, supportive grandmother and an even greater great-grandmother. She was the foundation of the family and the rock on which the family was built. The advice she gave came from her Christian faith. She was a woman with no enemies and a heart made of gold who will be missed for her laughter, sense of humor, and the love she shared to everyone she knew.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 53 years, Obadiah, her four children, her aunt, grandchildern, great grandchildren, a host of other family members and friends.
It was her wish to be carried to her final rest by horse drawn carriage, it was our pleasure and great honor to serve Mrs. Sallie Lou Cook.

Mother Lillie Mae Young Powell
"Sissy", as she was affectionately known by her siblings, quietly and peacefully slipped away into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 28, 2007. She was born in Leon County to the late Elizabeth Simmons. She was a cook by trade and was often asked to cook for special occasion on FSU campus. She retired from the Leon County School District. Because of her love of children she occupied her time by keeping kids. They all loved her and called her Grandma.
Mother Powell was converted at an early age and loved the church as much as she loved her family. During her illness she reminded us on numerous occasions that nothing could separate her from the love of God. She was a dedicated member of the Mt. Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church where she served faithfully.
Mother Powell was a loving, devoted wife and mother. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 59 years the Reverend Henry Powell, Sr, 4 sons, 4 daughters, 25 grandchildren and a host of other family.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Strong-Jones Funeral Home, Tallahassee, Florida.
