Constance Mae McDuffie, 71, of Lawrenceville passed from this life on December 1, 2007. Her life was celebrated at a service held at Stronghold Christian Church. Gregory B. Levett Funeral Home arranged the services.

Roosevelt "Slim" Fisher
was born August 17, 1939 to Mildred Fisher and Roosevelt Johnson in Memphis, Tn. After high school he moved to Chicago where he met and fell in love at first sight with Eileen Hutchings. They were married February 13, 1964. Their life together produced a legacy of loving, caring and giving.
His professional career spanned over 40 years as a chemist in the hair care industry. Roosevelt began his career as a manufacturer of hair care products in Chicago at the former Deluxol Laboratories in 1959. He and Eileen started their own business in 1963 and by 1970 moved their entire manufacturing facility to Atlanta, Ga.
Roosevelt was always a man of stature. He presented himself as a man of substance, but never knew that he possessed this quality. He was a passionate man, a man of quiet strength, a man of vision who pursued his dreams without hesitation. Unlike many he had the ability to find joy and laughter in all things. Roosevelt was an innovator and a leader in his family as well as in the hair care industry.
It was in Atlanta that his commitment to Christ began. He loved the Lord and shared his love with those he encountered. He was a member of World Changers Church International in College Park, Ga. He and Eileen were truly "one in the Lord" as was shown by their untimely departures. Roosevelt left this world exactly three weeks to the day that Eileen passed. They were meant to be together throughout eternity.

Ms. LaRhonda Kershon Cooper
LaRhonda Kershon Cooper was born on November 14, 1975 to the late Gregory Cooper and Denise Cooper. LaRhonda attended school in Columbus and later attended Southside High School in Atlanta. She was a hard working, dedicated, Shift Manager for the Wendy's Restaurant Franchise. LaRhonda was a wonderful mother and committed herself to being a self-sufficient provider for her family. Her children were precious to her, she loved life, loved her family and cherished all her friends. Her nature was fun, loving and happy. She gave her life to Christ and was baptized on December 7, 2000, at St. Mary's Road United Methodist Church. Her Love and Faith in God sustained her and helped her cope with a long illness, while encouraging her family and friends. LaRhonda will be deeply missed.

Mary Jane Long was born March 27, 1962 to Mary Jean Long and the late James McCambry. Mary joined the Dent Chapel AME Church at an early age and served faithfully. Mary received her education in the he Coweta County School System where she attended Central High School and Newnan High School. Mary was employed with Bibbs Manufacturing for 8 years. Upon the closing of Bibbs, she worked as a CNA up until medical problems interfered with her lifestyle. Later in life, Mary joined Joyful Tabernacle of Praise where she attended regularly until her ascent to Heaven.
Mary will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile and humor for she truly loved everything and everyone.

Mr. Norman Walker, Sr. November 28, 1918 - February 10, 2007
Norman Walkers great granddaughter, Jaidan said, "Last night, I saw a butterfly spread its wings and fly away." Norman Walker, Sr. flew away to heaven to join his son Bobby and his beloved wife Mae Crozia on February 10, 2007. He and Mae Crozia were married on April 15, 1939, and walked hand in hand through the seasons of their life until they were parted by death on January 24, 2005. There were seventeen issues to this union; however, three were not meant to be. So together they raised fourteen children. In 1949, at age 31, Norman accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized. After his baptism, he like the Apostle Paul, worked tirelessly for the cause of Christ. Together he and Mae Crozia served and the West Park Street Church of Christ, eventually becoming the Newsome Street Church. Norman was a farmer, but he could master any task to which he laid his hand. He was a craftsman in furniture making and brick masonry. With his passing, a great era has ended. To my dear children: I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.....For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4:1-8
