Mr. Joseph Edward Austin Sr. October 11, 1943 - June 8, 2007
Brother Austin was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 11, 1943 to the late Alice and Robert T Austin. At an early age he joined Little Friendship Baptist Church and dedicated his life to Christ. Later he joined Victory Tabernacle Missionary Church. He attended David T Howard High School where he was a star basketball player and scouted by several professional teams. He also excelled in track and field. In 1965 he married the late Barbara Ann Austin, a union that lasted 40 years and produced 6 children. Mr. Austin was a Professional Driver whose hobbies included Fishing, barbecuing, home improvements, football and celebrating his six children, 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He departed this life for heaven on his late wife's birthday, June 8, 2007. They are together forever with God. He will always live in our hearts, and we will cherish his legacy.

Mrs. Barbara Ann Austin was born in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Mozelle Tucker and Charles Henry Wesley of Atlanta In 1965 she married Joseph Austin, Sr. To this 40 year marriage six children were born. Mrs. Austin became a MARTA Police Officer where she dedicated herself to the residents and visitors of Atlanta. She loved to shop, decorate, cook, attend football games and celebrate her 6 childern and 16 grandchildern. She departed this life for heaven while praising God with her church family at Victory Tabernacle in McDonough, Ga. She will rest in peace forever. She leaves to mourn a devoted and loving husband, her childern and grandchildern, brothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and many, many other relatives and special friends. Her service was entrusted to Murray Brothers Funeral Home.

We have always felt so lucky to have a mother like you. No matter what the situation, you always knew what to do. You were someone who we could talk to, in good times and bad. You always knew the right things to say when we were sad. You were a woman full of faith and one who knew the Lord. You gave us everything we ever wanted even things we knew you couldn't afford. You weren't a woman of many words, but you were full of so much knowledge. You taught us so many things, some of which couldn't be learned in any college. You were such a kind and caring woman, so quick to do things for others. You were such an inspiration, always pushing me to go further. So momma, for all of these things, we are grateful so very grateful because you showed us how to be everything but hateful. We love you more that you will ever really know and just like everyone else we are sad to see you go. Everyone knows that you are in a much better place. A place where there is always amazing grace. We found comfort in knowing that you are now at peace. You have made it over, and the Lord now holds you lease. Deacon Emanuel Sims 1919 - 2006
The third of 13 children, deacon Sims was born on April 24, 1919 in Hiram, Georgia to Charlie and Berder Ray Sims. He departed this life on Sunday, September 10, 2006. In 1937 he married Evelyn Watts, after 58 years of marriage Evelyn Watts Sims passed in 1995. Emanuel served in the United States Navy as Steward Mate First Class and protected our country fighting in WWII. He was an Aerospace Machinist and played a vital part in the construction of the C-5A Galaxy and C130 Aircrafts. He retired from Lockheed Martin after more than 30 years of faithful service. In 1996 Emanuel married Irene Webster. He is survived by his wife, 3 children, 3 step children, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, a host of grandchildren, great and great-great children, nieces, nephews. Deacon Emanuel Sims Going Home
Mrs. Epsie Leonard Burton
Mrs. Burton was born December 10, 1934 to the late Lizzie and James Leonard in Eclectic, Alabama. She attended Alabama State University and was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Tuskegee. She was the wife of Albert Hurst, Jr and later Osie B Burton Sr. After her husband's death she managed Burton's Funeral Home and later established B&B Vault Company. Left to cherish her memory are her children, grandchildren, friends and other family. Epsie loved people and enjoyed talking to others. She loved to read and talk about the Biblical readings of Paul in the New Testament. She often said "may the work I have done speak for me!" She finished her work August 28, 2006. Her favorite scripture was 2 Timothy 4:6-8

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge shall give me at the day and not to me only, but unto all that love His appearing."

Curtis O'Brian Bussey October 15, 1986 - December 11, 2005
Curtis O'Brian Bussey was the son of proud parents, Curtis and Jacqueline Bussey. On December 11, 2005 the angels came and entered him into their home. Brian was baptized and received Christ at an early age. He graduated this past school year from Greenville High School, class of 2005 and was deeply admired by all of his teachers, classmates and friends. After graduation he attended West Georgia Technical College in LaGrange and succesfully completed the course and training in Commercial Truck Driver. Brian was currently employed at Randstad associated with Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation in Newnan, Ga. He was loved by his parents, sisters, brother, grandmothers and adored by Amanda Ballard. This service of love was entrusted to Hill's Funeral Home.

Rno Estelle Kortes, 91, of Senoia, GA died November 26, 2005.She was a member of the Senoia First Baptist Church andformerly a member of Morrow Church of God. She worked at Ft. Gillem (formerly the Atlanta Army Depot) for over 30 years.She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Hicks (who died September, 1959) and Bert M. Lois Gertrude Buice was the daughter of the late James Aubrey Smith and the late Della Mae Turner Smith. She was a member of Harvest Temple Church of God. Mrs. Buice was retired from Griffin Industries as a seamstress. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Olin Buice. She leaves a legacy of prayer and intercession to: Daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and Larry McSwain, Patricia and Raybon Scoggins, Brenda and Jerald Phillips; sons and daughter in laws, Leon and Virginia Buice, Roy and Kay Buice, Troy and Elizabeth Buice, Gene and Janice Buice; 21 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Crews, Mildred Smith, Maxine Willis and Martha Hambric.
